I keep saying that one of these years I am going to come out of ski bum retirement, and get back to more LCC powder. Keep in mind 8″ of low density snow at Alta after a dry spell is “dust on crust”. I am talking about plentiful deep or storm ride days…….. At [...] Be merry, and ask Jah for more snow! From our wee cabin in the Uintas, to your home wherever that may be, enjoy the season. Let me give you an idea of what we’ve been up to in Little Cottonwood since the last post. BIG GRIN This is Johnny B on The Daily POW…and you can tell just how cold it was that day by the silence, and the cold smoke. It’s been blustery Graupel all day long at our place on the Wasatch Back. Alta is probably already in the thick of it, and this one is going for at least another two or three days. Anyways Mark posted another great piece of vintage Utah skiing footage [...] So we installed WordPress at AltaCam recently, but it’s not linked up from the site yet. I found the Panorama Theme by Themocracy from Underground Parent…and I think it’s damn sweet. I just customized the header graphic that came with the theme by using an array of ski photo contest winners over the last few [...] How about this Alta footage! You may have seen this last year on the AltaCam Ski Forum, but a few weeks ago Mark (the guy who shot the film in 1974) posted a new, high-quality version. The best part about this: Although there are more people and tracks nowadays, the blower pow hasn’t changed a [...] ..contributes to stuffy and sleepless summer nights. In fact just tonight I was laying there restless, thinking about powder skiing. I went to my Facebook acct because no sleepy for me, and on my feed page I saw that Jeff had just posted a new clip on Youtube earlier in the night.
